Bob welding with a brand new trigger switch. Well, as it turns out, this whole "working with metal" thing is really hard work, and it's smelly, and loud, and everything is heavy and dirty and nothing about it is easy. I really love it! Everything is coming together and the anticipation is getting to me. For months now, every night I dream about pizza, pizza ovens, and the trailer, but now I really can't wait, we are getting so close! So far I have learned so much from Bob. From making very precise measurements, to cutting the steel, grinding down the welds, cutting angles, why vinegar is an essential material in the shop, and that a fancy new pair of gloves won't even last ten minutes running a grinder if you don't check to see if they are fireproof before you buy them (seriously). LESSON LEARNED! It's all been a wonderful adventure. This week we have made much progress, we fitted the first door onto the trailer yesterday, mounted an electric winch to pull our refrigeration unit on and off of the trailer, and we had to flip the whole trailer over with a crane! Take it from someone who has never done any of these things before, it's really cool! More pictures to come! Ariane Jimison AKA, Capn' Smudgeface
